Privacy policy

Version 2026-10 · October 2026

We take the protection of your data seriously and only collect what Tempino needs to work. Tempino shows no ads, sells no data and uses no tracking or analytics tools. This policy covers the Tempino website (this site) and the app at app.tempino.app, in the browser and in the Android app. The German version is authoritative; this translation is provided for convenience.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

[Name des Betreibers]
[Anschrift]
Email: info@micmayer.com

No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so. For any privacy question, contact us at the address above.

2. This website

This website is purely static. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, embeds no third-party content (no external fonts, scripts, maps or videos) and contains no analytics or tracking tools. That is why there is no cookie banner.

When you visit, our host necessarily processes the connection data every web server receives: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer and browser identifier (user agent). Our own web server writes no access logs. What the host logs and for how long follows its own rules (see section 3). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Hosting

The website and the app run on Sliplane (Sliplane GmbH, c/o ECOSIA, Gerichtstraße 23, Innenhof 4, 13347 Berlin, Germany) on servers in the European Union ([Rechenzentrumsstandort]). The app's data is kept in an SQLite database on a persistent storage volume of that server. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.

The host may store connection data (IP address, time, request) in its own logs for operations and to fend off attacks. Sliplane does not state a fixed retention period for them. Database backups: [ob, wo und wie lange].

4. Your account

You need an account to use the app. We process:

  • Account data: name, email address, whether the address is confirmed, and your password – stored only as a hash, never in plain text. Also your language and when you signed up.
  • Consents: that and when you accepted the terms of use and this privacy policy (each with its version) and confirmed your minimum age.
  • Sign-in sessions: one session per signed-in device with IP address, browser identifier (user agent), creation and expiry time. This lets you see where you are signed in and lets us detect abuse. A session expires after 30 days without use.
  • Abuse protection: short-lived counters per IP address and action (e.g. sign-in attempts) to slow down password guessing and mass sign-ups.

The legal basis is the performance of the contract of use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for session data and abuse protection also our legitimate interest in the security of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); for proof of your consents Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR.

5. Training data and training buddies

We store what you create in Tempino: training plans with weeks, sessions and exercises, your training log (completed and missed sessions, weights, feedback such as effort and notes), your athlete profile (e.g. availability, training places, equipment, heart rate zones, races) and your settings.

When you share a plan with training buddies, the people you invite see the plan, each other's names and – depending on what you share – each other's progress. Only share plans with people you want to show this to. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Training data you enter yourself (e.g. a note "knee hurts") may allow conclusions about your health. We use it solely to provide the app features you use.

6. Sending email

We only send you emails your account needs: confirming your email address, resetting your password and confirming an account deletion. We send no newsletters or advertising.

We use the email service [SMTP-Anbieter, Firmenname, Anschrift] as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). It receives your email address, your name and the content of the message. [Serverstandort / ggf. Drittlandübermittlung und Garantien angeben]

So that nobody can use Tempino to trigger mass emails to other people's addresses, we keep a sending log per recipient address (address, type of email, time). Entries are deleted automatically after 7 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

7. Connecting intervals.icu (health data)

You can choose to connect Tempino to your intervals.icu account. intervals.icu is an independent service that your watch or bike computer (e.g. Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto, Wahoo) already syncs with. The connection is only made after you have given your explicit consent.

Once connected, Tempino regularly fetches:

  • Activities: sport, date, duration, distance, pace or power, heart rate and other metrics of the activity, to match them to your planned sessions and mark them as done automatically.
  • Wellness data: resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep, weight and training load values, to show them to you in the app.

If you switch it on, Tempino sends your planned sessions to your intervals.icu calendar, from where they reach your watch.

Heart rate, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and weight are health data under Art. 9 GDPR. We process them solely on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by disconnecting in the app. Withdrawal takes effect for the future.

Your intervals.icu API key is stored encrypted. When you disconnect, we delete the imported activities and wellness data. Processing at intervals.icu itself is governed by its own privacy policy; intervals.icu is independently responsible for it. intervals.icu is operated by intervals.icu Ltd, 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom; according to intervals.icu, the data is processed in Germany and Finland.

8. AI coach (optional)

The AI coach in the app is off by default. Only once you switch it on and consent does Tempino send the data each request needs to a language model: your message, the plan concerned, your training log and athlete profile and – if connected – summarised activity and wellness data. The same applies to the weekly check-in if you enable it.

Requests go through OpenRouter (OpenRouter, Inc., USA). We only allow routing to model providers that commit to zero data retention, i.e. they neither store inputs and outputs nor use them for training. Because data may be transferred to the USA and possibly other third countries, we base the transfer on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR) that OpenRouter provides for this and on your explicit consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR).

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by switching the coach off. We store the chat history and suggested changes in Tempino so you can read them again and undo changes. The coach makes no decisions with legal effect for you; you see changes to your plan and can undo them. It is not a substitute for medical advice.

9. Access for Claude via MCP (optional)

In Tempino you can create personal access keys that let an AI assistant such as Claude access your plans and training through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). We store only a hash of the key (not the key itself), its name and when it was last used. You can revoke keys at any time.

Whatever the assistant fetches reaches its provider (e.g. Anthropic for Claude). That is governed by the terms of your account with that provider, which is independently responsible for it. The legal basis for providing the interface is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

10. Reminders and notifications

  • Web push (browser): if you allow reminders in your browser, we store your browser's push address. Reminders are delivered through your browser vendor's push service (e.g. Mozilla, Google or Apple), which receives the push address and the content of the reminder.
  • Android app: reminders are scheduled and shown locally on your device. No third-party push service is needed.

You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device settings. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

11. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies. The app sets only the strictly necessary session cookie on its own domain, which keeps you signed in. The app also keeps strictly necessary data in your browser or device, such as app files for a fast start (service worker) and your language setting. No consent is required for such strictly necessary storage (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). We use no tracking or advertising cookies.

12. Retention and deletion

  • Unconfirmed accounts are deleted automatically after 7 days.
  • Deleting your account: you can delete your account in the app at any time. All your data is deleted immediately: account data, sessions, plans, training log, profile, imported data, coach history, access keys and push addresses. Plans you share with others pass to the person who joined the plan first; your progress in them is deleted.
  • Sign-in sessions end when you sign out, at the latest after 30 days without use.
  • Email sending log: 7 days.
  • Abuse protection counters: minutes to hours.
  • Backups: [Frist]; after that, deleted data is also removed from backups.

Otherwise we keep your data as long as your account exists. To our knowledge, no statutory retention obligations apply to the data in Tempino.

Tempino is for people aged 16 and over. When signing up, you confirm that you are at least 16.

We need your name, email address and password to create an account; without them you cannot use the app. All other information and connections are optional.

If Tempino or the law changes, we update this policy. The current version is always on this page; we inform you in the app about material changes.
